Eight local ladies are getting ready to compete for the title of Chilton County Junior Miss. The competition will be held today at the Chilton County High School Auditorium. Admission for the event will be $5.

The winner of the competition will receive scholarships to the college of her choice as well as the opportunity to advance to the State finals in Montgomery.

The girls must perform physical fitness and poise routines, as well as their own talent presentation.The girls are also judged on academics and personal interviews.
