The Class 2A No. 7 Isabella volleyball team ran its record to 7-0 Monday night with a sweep of county rival Jemison, 25-20, 25-12, 25-11.

The Panthers were a thorn in Isabella’s side last year, winning all three meetings, but couldn’t trip up this year’s group of Mustangs.

Isabella took a 23-15 lead in the first game before the Panthers (6-4) made it interesting.

Isabella cruised in the other two games behind the play of Krysta Tyler (15 assists and four aces) and Amber Wyatt (15 kills).

Carissa Eiland added five aces for the visitors. Kimi Jones posted nine digs, RaeLynn Liveoak had seven digs and Ruby Fernandez had six digs.

Alexis Reeves had nine digs and two aces for Jemison, and Tabatha Cork tallied 10 digs, four aces, two assists and two kills.

Dallis Vanderslice contributed 12 digs, and Christie Hoffmeyer had seven digs and three aces.

The Isabella junior varsity team won 25-17, 25-12.
