Secondhand smoke too deadly to ignore

Dear Editor,

I think that people who do not smoke should not have to be exposed to it. It has been proven that secondhand smoke is deadly. I (a non-smoker) have the right to breath clean air if I am in a public setting. My parents smoked when I was growing up. I was constantly trying to get away from smoke.

As I reached my teens, my Mother quit smoking. She realized after quitting what is was like to be a non-smoker in a smoking setting (unbreathable). She died at 55 from Cancer.

I am not saying people should not be allowed to smoke. I am saying that smokers should not be allowed to force the rest of the world smell it.
