Chilton County High’s volleyball team split a tri-match at Montevallo on Thursday night. The Tigers (1-3) defeated Bibb County High (25-22, 25-17) and lost to Montevallo (25-14, 22-25, 10-15).

For the night, Vernice Trimble tallied six kills and five aces while teammate Tylita Harrell finished with four kills, two aces and two digs.

CCHS hosts Isabella and Selma beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 2.

Jemison also picked up a win Thursday night. The Panthers (5-3) swept LAMP in a best-of-five contest. Scores were not available.

Kasi Wells had 12 assists in the win, and Codi Mims recorded six kills.

Jemison hosts Thorsby at 4 p.m. on Sept. 4.
