On the weekend of Aug. 16, the ReMix Youth Ministry of First United Methodist Church in Clanton flocked to the pig barn at the Chilton County Fair Grounds for DEAN OW! – not to be confused with D-Now.

DEAN OW is defined as the one in charge of student discipline by helping them adjust their behavior to increase avoidance of harmful situations in the future. The theme for the weekend was “How Committed Are You?”

The speaker was Chris Lasseter from Ashford, who challenged the group to strive to be just like Jesus.

Leading the worship was The Museum from Atlanta, who rocked the barn on that Saturday night with a concert. Setting the stage for the concert was local rapper and youth minister KBROWN, a.k.a. Kevin Brown, the youth minister at First United Methodist Church.

From mission work on Saturday to worship services, the group had an amazing weekend.

The group wishes to thank the Cattlemen and the Clanton Kiwanis Club for the use of the barn and to the Civic Chorale for the use of the lights.
