Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Green of Clanton are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Brittany Dawn Green, to Kalaja James King of Clanton.

The wedding ceremony was held at 6 p.m. on June 6 on the beach at St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, Fla.

The bridal path was adorned with white wedding bells that were hung on shepherd hooks. Large seashells and tiki torches lined the path leading to an arch with ivy and white wisteria atop tall columns.

The music was by violin performed by Dr. L. Tyson. The lighting of the unity candle was replaced by the sand ceremony representing the uniting of their marriage.

The bridal party included the bride’s sisters, Stephanie Wilson of Clanton and Rebecca Gilliland of Clanton. The flower girl was the cousin of the bride, Madison Christensen of Clanton. The bridesmaids wore turquoise tea length dresses. The flower girl wore a white dress embellished with pearls.

The groom’s party included the brothers-in-law of the bride, Casey Wilson of Clanton and Robbie Gilliland of Clanton. The groomsmen wore turquoise shirts with beige linen pants.

The bride wore a white mermaid style satin silk gown embellished with pearls with a detailed train. Her head piece was adorned with diamonds and pearls with a satin trimmed veil. The groom wore a white tux and tie with a turquoise shirt.

The couple was married by officiate B. Tyson of Florida. The bride was escorted down a path of white rose petals by her father, Buddy Green.

After the ceremony, a reception awaited. The cake was adorned with edible seashells, starfish and pearls. The couple left after the reception for their honeymoon at Rosemary Beach, Fla.
