A Jemison man’s condition continues to worsen due to injuries sustained in an Aug. 7 motorcycle crash in northwest Chilton County.

Allen Wade Waldrop has been relocated to UAB’s Center for Palliative Care, which is located adjunct to Spain Rehabilitation Center in Birmingham, according to Billie Tidwell, a family relative.

At 7:10 p.m. Aug. 7, Waldrop was seriously injured when the 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving crashed at the intersection of County Roads 50 and 73.

No other vehicles were involved.

Waldrop was airlifted to UAB that night and placed in intensive care. Currently, he is being sustained medially, but his prognosis had not improved as of last night.

“Everything that can be done medically has been done for him by the UAB medical staff,” Tidwell said. “His family is blessed to have a very supportive group of relatives and friends and wants to send their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their prayers and ask that they please continue.”
