Margarette Gibson, wife of Joe Gibson, died Sunday, Aug. 17 after an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 2, 1939, to the late Theodore Cleckler and the late Lily Dennis. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Jackie (Wanda) Day, Johnnie (Wanda) Day, Eddie (Kim) Day, Allen Day and Brenda Day Mims; brother, Lonza Cleckler; sisters, Marie Rhodes, Carolyn Rhodes; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Day; daughter, Brenda Lee Day and stepmother, Leona Cleckler.
Services will be held today at Clanton Church of God at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens.
