Johnny and Jo Ann Childress of Jemison are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Tonya Renee Childress to Patrick Gregory Smitherman, son of Greg and Teri Smitherman of Jemison.

Tonya is the granddaughter of Betty Childress and the late Lavelle Childress of Jemison and the late Jimmy and Leola Peters of Clanton. She is a graduate of Thorsby High School and is currently employed by Regions Financial of Lakeshore.

Patrick is the grandson of Betty Lockheart and the late Elzie Smitherman of Clanton and the late Wallace and Velma Hubbard. He is a graduate of Jemison High School and is currently employed by Regions Financial of Lakeshore.

The wedding will be held on Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. at Lomax Assembly of God. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
