A “pre-party” is hoped to kindle community interest in the quickly approaching En Fuego event.

Lomax Assembly of God will host the pre-party this Friday night at 7 with musical guests Candlefuse and Yungtown.

These Christian artists, whose musical styles range from alternative rock to hip-hop, respectively, both have played at En Fuego in the past. Candlefuse is included in this year’s lineup.

“We hope to get the community excited about En Fuego as these artists share the Gospel through their music,” said Lomax Assembly of God Worship Pastor Matt Littlejohn.

The pre-party is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. It will last approximately two hours.

Littlejohn and the praise team from Lomax Assembly will lead worship next Friday night, Aug. 22, 7 p.m. at the En Fuego site to get volunteers and community members pumped up for the big day.

A night of worship and prayer typically follows each En Fuego to allow for a time of refreshment and rest following a long week of preparation.

“We want to refocus everyone and kind of have a downtime to get everyone’s focus on the event,” Littlejohn said.

En Fuego is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. The site is located off County Road 23 in the Verbena area. For more information, visit enfuegoinfo.com.
