Teenagers and children across Chilton County went back to school for the 2008-09 school year Monday morning.

New Jemison High School principal Allen Thompson was joined by local officials including Mayor Eddie Reed and Police Chief Brian Stilwell in the assembly to encourage the students to have a productive year.

The slogan of the event was “Failure is not an option.”
