Melba Patton Peterson, 88, of Jemison died Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Homeland Assisted Living, Jemison.
She was born on Saturday, Sept. 6, 1919 in Chilton Co., daughter of the late James W. Patton and the late Silsbee Bristow.
She was a School Teacher.
Surviving are her son, Robert L. Peterson of Jemison; 2 daughters, Julia Cleckler of Jemison, Elizabeth Peterson of Jemison; sister, Mary James Dendy of Huntsville; 3 granddaughters, 2 Great-Grandsons, 1 Great-Granddaughter.
Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, Aug. 8 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Robert Singleterry officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Jemison, AL.
