The following is an activity detail summary for the Chilton County Sheriff’s Department between Friday, July 18, and Thursday, July 24.

Clanton Police Department

The following is an activity detail summary of the Clanton Police Department from Thursday, July 17 through Wednesday, July 23:

Arrests

Clanton Police arrested Cordarious G. Glover, 18, of Clanton for burglary of vehicle and theft of property third degree.

Clanton Police also made the following arrests on misdemeanor charges (numerals indicate the number of arrests made for each offense): public intoxication (1), disorderly conduct (1), lack of mandatory insurance (1), driving under the influence (1), open possession of alcohol (1), failure to appear (2), theft of property third degree (1), minor consumption of alcohol (1).

Incidents

Theft of property – July 16 between 4:30 and 5 p.m. at the city shop building, Seventh Street, Clanton. A Magnavox 20-inch television – gray and silver in color with a DVD and VHS player combo, all valued at $248 – was stolen.

Breaking and entering vehicle, theft of property – July 17 between 4 and 4:45 p.m. in the Wal-Mart employee parking lot. A blue Kodak camera and a Motorola cell phone – with a combined value of $308 – were stolen.

Theft of property – July 14 between 6:11 a.m. and 6:21 p.m., and July 16 between 2:30 and 3 p.m. at Wiregrass Construction Company. Thirty-eight gallons of diesel fuel valued at $175.56 was stolen.

Harassment – July 17 between 4:55 and 5:05 p.m. in the 1700th block of Eighth Street North.

Assault – July 17 between 7:45 and 8:20 p.m. in front of Peachtree Apartments, E Building.

Reckless endangerment, criminal mischief – July 17 between 9 and 9:15 p.m. on Samaria Road near the church. An estimated $3,500 in damage was done to a left fender and driver door.

Theft of property – between April 1 and 7, 2008 in the 400th block of Third Avenue South. A Microsoft Action Pack containing key codes for an undetermined number of CDs – valued at $300 – was stolen.

Theft of property – July 14 between 8 and 10 p.m. in the 1400th block of Seventh Street South.

Theft of property – between June 27 and 28 at Howell’s Small Engines. An EZ Go Golf Cart – valued at $5,000 – was stolen.

Gas drive-off – July 19 at 9:37 p.m. in the 500th block of Seventh Street South. Exactly 17.381 gallons of gas – valued at $68.12 – was stolen.

Theft of property – July 20 between 1 and 9 a.m. in the 300th block of Second Street South. A blue pit bull dog – female, approximately 2 years old, white on the chest and valued at $500 – was stolen.

Theft of property – July 20 between 9:30 p.m. and 4:50 a.m. in the 100th block of 11th Street. An Alabama license plate – valued at $79.30 – was stolen.

Theft of property – July 21 between 1 and 1:45 p.m. at the Chilton County YMCA. One black purse – valued at $150 and containing assorted cash ($200), two Master Cards, one Visa card, one Mutual Savings debit card, one Parisian card and five S.O.C. cards – was stolen. Purse, Master Card, debit card, Parisian card and three S.O.C. cards have been recovered.

Theft of property – between 5 p.m. July 18 and 8 a.m. July 21 at Giles Cooling and Heating. An indoor evaporator coil – valued at $1,900 – was stolen.

Theft of property, breaking and entering – July 23 between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. at Durbin’s fruit stand. A designer satin purse – brown and beige in color, valued at $150 and containing a black wallet ($100), a Sprint cell phone in leather case ($300), a notebook, Visa card and two Sam’s cards – was stolen.

Theft of property – between 8 a.m. July 17 and 4 a.m. July 22 – a Sony portable PSP and a Hard Rock Café casino game – at a combined value of $300 – were stolen.

Assault – July 23 between 6:30 and 7 p.m. in the 1400th block of Old Thorsby Road.
