The middle of the host team’s lineup did most of the damage: No. 2 hitter Tolliver Gilliland went 2-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and the game-winning hit; No. 4 hitter Colby Ramsey was 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, three RBI and two runs scored; and No. 5 hitter Koty Watts finished 1-for-1 with a walk, one RBI and two runs scored.

Clanton pitcher Corbin Bice recorded key strikeouts to get out of jams in the first and second innings and earn the win. He struck out six in four innings.

Clanton will play at 5:30 p.m. today.
