Five fire departments responded to a fire at this large barn on County Road 54 near the intersection of County Road 111 in the northwest corner of Chilton County around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Responding units included North Chilton, West Chilton, Dry Valley, Brierfield and Montevallo fire departments. No one was injured in the blaze. The cause was unknown as of yesterday evening.

The fire continued to smolder through the day yesterday causing fire engines to be called back to the scene to investigate the smoke.
