Clanton and LifeSouth will host a blood drive on Monday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at CVS for the CVS Pharmacy Challenge.

“The need for blood doesn’t take a vacation,” Lee Nichols, a recruiter for LifeSouth, said. “Please be a summer lifesaver and give blood.”

All donors will receive s’mores, a recognition item and a free cholesterol screening. Donors must be 17-years-old and weigh 110 pounds or more. They must also provide a valid photo I.D. for donation.

LifeSouth’s Montgomery region supplies blood to Montgomery, Crenshaw, Autauga, Chilton, Elmore and Pike counties. LifeSouth is a nonprofit, volunteer blood donation organization that gives blood to more than 110 medical centers in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
