The Rev. Donnie and Mrs. Djuana Burns, formerly of Verbena, are happy to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittney Burns of Luverne, Ala. to Jonathan Mount of Rutledge, Ala., the son of Dr. Danny and Mrs. Christie Mount of Rutledge.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of John and Sharon Beutler of Verbena, Curtis and Sandye Sims of Katy, Texas; and Wallace and Reecie Burns of Clanton.

She is a 2006 graduate of Crenshaw Christian Academy and a student of Troy University from 2006-2008. She will be attending Auburn University in the fall.

The prospective groom is the grandson of John Daniel and Ruthie Lee Mount of Brantley; Alan and Janie Stimatz of Luverne; and Billy and Janice Carpenter of Greenville.

He is a 2004 graduate of Crenshaw Christian Academy and a 2008 graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He will attend the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in the fall.

The wedding will be held Friday, June 27, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Luverne at 7 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend.
