Those things came and went because there was no "boom".
I realy do like our peaceful little place here. I guess it's worth having to drive 30 or 40 minutes for some things. We can just let the next town deal with the mess, noise and problems!

If this area really started to boom, (like Prattville) wouldn't our property value increase? That part of growth might be a good thing. A movie theater would be nice too----and a really good seafood restaurant....and a bowling alley......and a nice department store....and...and....

When I lived in Slidell, Louisanna, we used to go to a little bar on lake Ponchartrain called "The Chicken Drop Lounge". They had the very set up you just described, Graves.
Really fun place with delicious Cajun Food and Live music. They had what they called a Hank Special.(Jumbalaya, crawfish pie, file' gumbo)--Yum!
You put your money on the square(s) that you thought the chicken would "mark".
Speaking of chicken drop gambling, maybe we will have the chance to vote "yes" to a state lottery again in a year or two.
I doubt Mr. McGregor is contributing much to the state's Schools. The lottery would be helping by now if it had passed before.

Seems kinda silly that they were caught burning Sudafed boxes and that's what got them busted. They aren't the sharpest pencile in the box, are they?

I hope I will have finished my IFRS paper by then so I can watch the game. As for shopping the day after Thanksgiving.......I'd rather take a beating!
