I totally agree JOANN. We need to wake up. People just do not see what is going on in Chilton Co. and everytime Graves makes a comment it is just pure STUPID. I see alot in the schools and people DO need to wake up for a children's sake.

I totally agree. He has no life. I bet if you met him on the street, he is quite. He has something to comment on everything and most of his comments resemble that of STUPID, so therefore his bark is alot bigger than his bite. I would like to meet him face to face. I mean what is it with him???

Shepard, You need to grow up. You will eat those words one day. All I can tell you is I am older and made the mistake one time that thinking my kids would do not wrong. After all, I thought like you, it all revolved around my #1 parenting skills. I was the best. Boy, did my kids show me something. No matter how good you raise them and how much you take them to church, they will try something one day and there is nothing you can do about it except pray and realize that you have done the best you can.
Yes, I think drug testing is a wonderful idea. I teach and I see alot of things, and people there are alot more things out there to try and experience than you think. We need to protect our children. Dejarnett is doing this for that reason. I think all schools should do it.
kittycreek - Spain Park does drug test. The reason being is they go to state every year and that insures their safety. We need to be alot more like them. We need good programs that will allow us to follow in their footsteps and the coach and principal are on the right path.

I live in the city limits of Clanton and NO, Sheriff, you do not take calls seriously. Firing a high powered rifle is ILLIEGAL inside the city limits at ALL times. I made a call to 911 a couple of months ago because I was concerned about a someone shooting a high powered rifle right behind my house. NO ONE responded nor did anyone ever call back. This is still happening about once a week. I just hope that it is only target practice. You can never tell these days what someone may be shooting at and I DO NOT appreciate 911 not responding to my call. I will not call again to report this kind of activity, even if it turns out it is not target practice or someone "shooting in the air."

I agree with kdnichols GOOD JOB! If anyone out there that knows who can be trusted to get someone busted please let me know. This person is an informant for the Clanton police and he has been caught several times. However, he continues to get off because he turns information on someone else. Yet, at the same time, he drives to Montgomery to buy more drugs. His mother is handicap and he MAKES her give him money so he can go get a hit. This kind of nonsense needs to be stopped.

In my earlier comment, I stated that Mayor Driver does not like confirmation. Well, what I meant was confrontation. However, he does not like confirmation either, especially if he is up against someone who may have some private information against him.
I would like the public to be aware that the projects he referred to in his article was not entirely truthful. The businesses of KMA and CRH was financed by Alabama Power Company. Elmer Harris, the President of Alabama, Power and Governor Seigleman are responsible for these businesses be located in Clanton. The City of Clanton does not even get any tax money from these corporations. They are tax free.
Also, I hope you do know who you prefer to be in a fox hole with. I am not going to get caught in a fox hole because I am smart enough to know the old saying... "he is a SLY as a fox."

Well, again in reply to your email about Mayor Driver and how you could always depend on him, I am glad he came through for you. However, I have had several experiences with the Mayor myself and he stood in my yard and told me one thing and when I got to the council meeting, he could not and would not back up what he said. However, if you feel that he is the best man or woman for the job, vote for him. I just hope that you do not run into the same problems that we have because depending on who you are and who he must go up against, he will not support you and what is right. He will NOT follow through with the job that you and I pay him to do because he does not like confirmation.

I hope there is a fee for this. I mean the teachers have been instructed to run AC at 80 degrees and we have been told that NO ONE was to have extra events at any of the schools in the county (this includes watering the fields). Yet, it is photographed of the water running on the PRACTICE field at CCHS.
