What is wrong in the City Hall? Who lets a man that does not live in a district qualify to run for a city council seat in that district? Sounds like another example of corruption in the City of Clanton to me.

We too have noticed a difference in gas prices. Several weeks ago, we were in the Mobile area. Their gas was 3.40 per gallon. What's up with that?

Just a quick reply to the comment by my humble opinion...spend a little less time on your wordy response and do a little more research. Traveling on a school bus is the safest form of travel in the world. It is 16 times safer than riding in an automobile and also safer than riding on a train, flying or any other form of transportation. With this being said, let me also mention that the thought of strapping in every child on a school bus is rediculous. The bus would hold half as many students and take twice as long to get to school. By the way, if you are truly concerned about the safety of your child.........put them on a Chilton County School Bus.

There must have been some misunderstanding. I was not referring to your comment. I was agreeing with the comment made by "hunka". I agree with you........to each his own and I do not get in fox holes.

I agree with the earlier post that says Mr. Driver always says what you want to hear. He may listen but he doesn't always follow through. I think some people have forgotten or never knew that the mayor has no authority without the council. In fact, he only gets a vote in the case of needing to break a tie.
It is somewhat interesting that many of the "accomplishments" and/or "developments" that are mentioned in the article are projects that he was against. Without the persistance of the council, many of these would have never developed. It's amazing how we remember things when we are tooting our own horn, isn't it?
