Due to the rain supposed to come through the area tomorrow this event has been canceled and we'll reschedule. Rain and concrete don't mix well.

I wouldn't go near a store the day after Thanksgiving for any reason at all! I dislike being in crowds anyway, but being disabled and in crowds can be dangerous! I've had my cane kicked out before in crowds, not intentionally of course, but that didn't help when I lost my support!
I do most of my holiday shopping on the internet. I can shop around and price compare without leaving my home and its delivered right to the door.

Hi KW,
I'm not sure how the "shake and bake" method works, or how much it produces, to be entirely honest I have only the most basic understanding of how meth is made. Frankly it'll stay that way.
I would assume that the homes have greater risk as there is usually more meth produced in a home lab than in a car "shake and bake." Some of the articles I've read have mentioned especially the contamination dangers from the kitchen counter tops in a house formerly used as a meth lab.
Either way, I'm just glad that Jeff and I are planning to build our final home on some land we have rather than shopping for something already built. Unfortunately though there are a LOT of people out there who don't know that this is a problem.

I've read some very worrying information about how dangerous a house is after its been used as a meth lab. There are a lot of people who've bought property, not knowing a meth lab had been run in it, and only learned of it when they, their children and their pets develop serious illnesses from exposure to the residue of the chemicals.

We all gather at my Mom's in Blount County, I'm always in charge of the dressing, the macaroni and cheese (I bake mine with 3 diff types of cheese) and the chocolate meringue pie since I have Grandma's recipe for that. I'll also bring my other Grandmother's recipe for Apple Cake which would make all y'all beg for another piece if you got to try it!
I'm esp excited this year! I had a break through on my genealogy, thanks to DNA testing, and I now know I'm descended from Pilgrims on that line! Which means my granddaughter is descended from both Native American and Pilgrim ancestors. LOL
