Funny how you invoke Christ's name in many of your comments, Travlr, and yet you offer up this gem:

<<maybe i can go back and pick an argument with "hairymawmaw" she's pretty easy. that is if she aint sittin in her little pop-up camper scraping the crud from under neath her over grown nails and spitting her snuff juice in her empty potted meat can and listening to her hee-haw dvd collection on her portable cd player she snatched from a good will box>>

Then, in a completely different article, you carry your vendetta over and in your rage, you typed up this:

<<I need to bring my poor old grandmother out there, but I'm sure since Dr.Feelgood feels that it is not their responsibility to care for their patients, it will just be a wasted trip because i have not been properly trained in how to draw blood. I guess she will just have to stay home and die with cholesterol disease. But if she does get sick, and i have to bring her to the hospital since it is not their responsibility to conduct hygienic care on the patients, i will be sure to bring her own supply of adult diapers, and some soap and water, just in case she has to crap i can clean her myself so she does not have to lay in it for a day or so.>>

So now you've shown your true colors...you're just another typical hypocrite.

Seriously, Travlr, if you want to unload on me, take it to a private message.
Nobody wants to read your insane vendetta-filled rantings and ravings.

Good ol' Travlr, hijacking yet another comment section.

Your volumes of finger-pointing and blame-laying seem to suggest that you feel awfully guilty about your part in the whole situation, Travlr.
Fairygrandmother said it best - "...at the end of the day you left an old man in a dirty diaper to prove a point."

Travlr - you've just crossed the line of libel.
Obviously something is lacking in your life, that you feel the need to amke up lies, in order to feel better about yourself.
Maybe you need to look in the mirror and try to figure out what demons are vexing you.

See, Travlr? - there you go again.
Vomiting up more eighth-grade, dim-witted attempts at intelligent conversation.

People have been making that lame excuse of a comment; "this is fun and entertaining for me" as long as the internet went public.
Unfortunately for you - statements like that are always veiled admissions of; "I have nothing left to say, and I cannot save face, here"

You remind me of a male version of DebbyRose.

Travlr - let me make this perfectly clear to you.
I am not placing any blame on you, or the situation you described.
I *am* condemning you, for making up all sorts of insinuations about an event that I, personally, have never heard about, and know nothing about.

You claim I am "taking up for people who are not doing their job." Please show me where I said anything of the sort.
You can't - because what I *did* say contradicts everything you wrote in your reply...making you look like a reactionary idiot.

How long ago did this event happen? You say "a few years ago".
That's not very specific.
I have been an employee since 2007 (with a seven-month break while I was working at Baptist East, in Montgomery). I don't often go to the ER. As a matter of fact, I am hardly at the hospital, itself. I am not a doctor, or a nurse, but I do give front-line care (not home health), working for CMC, as a service to a local doctor.

I have been at the hosptial when an incident or two have presented themselves, and I was proactive about it, making sure a superior was notified, and the events were documented. I do not and will not tolerate patient abuse or neglect.

But regardless of that, the main thing that I take umbrage with regarding you, Travlr, is that every time there is an article regarding CMC, you never fail to take the opportunity to hijack the comment section and provide some long-winded slam against the hospital, turning it in to your own ugly tirade of rhetoric. It makes you look petty and bitter.
You don't like the hospital?... then don't go there, and let it be.

Yep...your words show that you are no better than the fecal matter left in that old man's diaper, Travlr.
For the record, I cannot stand the thought of knowing that somebody might be knowingly mistreated while at CMC, and insinuating that I would be "okay with that" again proves what a sorry, gutless sack, you are.

Since paperwork will be handled prior to the blood collection, I know I could probably stick a patient every 2 minutes, max.
So two or three collectors should be able to handle a lot of people. Obviously you know, Travlr, that the entire population of the county will not show up.

One thing not mentioned in the article is that you need to be fasting for at least eight hours prior to the test, to get a good, accurate reading.

If you come in an hour after wolfing down three plates of eggs, biscuits w/sausage gravy, and bacon at Shoney's - your triglyceride level is going to be through the roof, and your blood serum is going to be what we call "lipemic", and it will literally look like bacon grease, after we run it through the centrifuge...it takes a good while for the body to metabolize fats.

So get a good night's sleep, come get your test at 8am, and *then* go eat.
Come on out, folks!

Now, how did I know this article would turn into another CMC bash-fest?

For every "bad" story, there are literally hundreds of good, life-saving stories at that hospital - I should know... I work there.

For what it's worth, every single day, I get more "horror stories" from patients who have had to deal with Shelby, and they usually end up there story by complimenting us on how much better CMC is, even though we are a tiny hospital that is seriously underfunded.

Anyway - back to the topic of the article.
Debra Richardson is totally qualified for the job.
She is completely professional, well-liked, and more importantly, well-respected...and that should be the focus of this comment section.

Travlr and Scarlett, your posts are nothing but self-serving comment hijacking, that have nothing to do with the article.
