Reader glad to see I-65 lights

Published Monday, November 2, 2009

Dear Editor,

I congratulate Jemison for getting the new lights on the I-65 exchange and enjoyed the two articles on the lights in the Weekend Edition of the Clanton Advertiser. The one thing that I didn’t agree with is that all of the exits between Birmingham and Montgomery had lights except the Jemison exit. The Clanton Exit 212 has no lighting. I drove by Exit 212 last night and made sure there were no lights on this exit.

A light pole at the start of each exit ramp coming off I-65 would sure make the exit lane easier to see at night. The two new car dealerships are beautiful and help light up the countryside, but this does not help with seeing the exit lane.

Steve Olis, Jemison

Does the Verbena exit have lights?
Pine Level?
If they do, they aren't being used.
