CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE! Ahhh! the memories. The world is yours kiddos. Go out there and show them how it should be done. Make us prouder than we already are!

What ever happened to acting dignified at honors day and graduation ceremonies? And since when is it appropriate to wear jeans, shorts, and flip flops to these events? I was totally shocked by the attire and behavior of those in attendance at my child's graduation. Honestly, people, Nascar T-shirts and whooping out like you were at a pep rally! I was completely embarrassed for our out-of-town relatives to witness such redneck behavior. Is it just me????

I agree with you chilly1104, I was totally shocked. What happened to respect. Some people acted a fool to see their child receive a high school diploma. Let's just hope they do more with education, than just a high school diploma...

I wasn't at any of the ceremonies but when I was going to school you dressed up in your Sunday best for these types of occasions. Times have changed (unfortunately) and people don't dress up in their Sunday best for much these days.

Also, they talk during the ceremonies, stand in front of people to take pictures, and rudely get up and walk out after theirs has gotten the diploma. The principal actually had to sush the audience to begin the ceremony! For many of these kids, it will be the only graduation they will ever have. Couldn't we show a little more respect?

Sounds like to me before graduation begins, the principal needs to annouce to stay seated and keep all comments to your self till the last diploma is given. They get paid to do the job, so do it !!!!

Yes, I agree. It's just sad that a high school principal has to ask parents and other adults to behave.

I agree with all of the above but did anyone really expect any better than this? People have no morals or sense of how to act properly these days. Seems people do anything now and you are stupid or prejudice or just plain ignorant if you tell them anything different!
I am mostly ticked over the fact that only four relatives per student were allowed in the auditorium. Most kids have two parents and two siblings. What about grandparents and such?
I understand they did not do the ceremonies on the football field because they thought it might rain but it we could of done as Prattville did and went to an auditorium which was big enough to allow everyone that wanted to go to go. There are churches big enough to of held everyone. Also there are other schools that would of accommodated the crowd.
I am sure though someone would of raised cain about going outside the county. I can't understand why if it meant all of a student's family could of attended that way.
After all it was their day more than ours.
