Rolled over: This SUV came to rest in a Wesco parking lot.
One vehicle overturned, no injuries
Published Sunday, March 29, 2009
One vehicle was flipped on its side in a two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. last night on Seventh Street.
The overturned vehicle, an SUV, came to rest in the parking lot of a convenience store near Dari Delite South. The other car did not completely leave the roadway.
Despite the severity of the crash, there were no reported injuries, a Clanton Fire official on the scene said.

For once kw I do have to agree with you. I try never to be in town on the weekend. If I do I never stop on the part of town. There has got to be a better place to put all the signs than right on the street, (maybe the trash). I for one think there should be a law against them being that close to the street.

Yup! Those stupid signs are all in the way. I usually end up going the back way instead of trying to pull onto hwy 31.

There is not supposed to be anything on the state's right of way that would obstruct the view, but it's rampant in Clanton. Some of the city streets are even worse. There are signs, shrubberies, and sometimes cars parked at intersections that make it difficult at best to see oncoming traffic. A prime example is the sign at Irwin Chiropractor's office at 6th street and 3rd av. s.? I think it's 3rd. If you stop where you are supposed to, you can't see what is coming from the south on 6th street. If you look north, you can't see because there is usually a land yacht parked in front of the white metal building on the right. I can't rmrmber what's in that building this week. Dangerous and unnecessary.

That's a really bad place to try to pull out into traffic, it usually backs up there. I take some pretty circular paths sometimes through Clanton trying to avoid some of the problem areas.
