BOE purchases 3 acres in Isabella
Published Tuesday, June 16, 2009
The Chilton County Board of Education voted Tuesday to purchase 3 acres of land near Isabella School at $5,000 per acre.
Chilton County Superintendent of Education Keith Moore said the purchase was a wise move because the growing school would be landlocked if the board didn't act now to acquire the property.
"I think we would be making a big mistake if we didn't get it," Moore said.

You know the sad things about these job are that sometimes they take the job away from people that are filling them for no reason and then that leaves that person without a job.

The way Alabama's tenure system has been explained to me is that if you have been an employee for less than three years, you can, basically, be fired without being given a reason. Is this true?

Yeah. That's what they say. But I think that it you do your job and there is no complaints on the employee that person should get their job back. I know that one of the workers was treated unfair in this case. But what do you do when they won't give you a chance to be tenured. That person has a family and needs it just as bad as another.
