Kurt Wallace has lived in seven different states before settling down in Maplesville.

Kurt Wallace has spent a lot of his life traveling around.

He was born in Denison, Texas and attended seven different schools in seven different states during the time that his dad was in the Air Force. He graduated from Maplesville High School and married his high school sweetheart Connie Walls on July 11, 1975. They have been married for 33 years and have three children and four grandchildren.

Wallace is an active Gideon and speaks at churches all over central Alabama. He served two years in the Air Force as a Security Specialist and has held a few jobs including selling insurance, driving a skidder, supervising a saw mill, driving a truck and is currently the director of distribution at Bush Hog.

“I have served eight years on the Maplesville Town Council, and I am looking forward to doing all that I can as Mayor to help out the town of Maplesville. I have lived here for quite a while and I am hoping that I have learned what the people want and need and that I can deliver those needs to them,” he said.
