Same team: Chilton County’s Chynna Davis, left, and Arteria Collins both go after a loose ball on Tuesday.
The Tigers didn’t allow their hosts to convert a field goal until Kelsey Mims’ 10-footer with 3:41 left in the quarter made it 27-23 CCHS.
Keondra Looney answered with a 3-pointer to give the visitors a seven-point lead, and Jemison (1-4) could never threaten.
Tika Nunn had 13 rebounds for the Panthers, and Codi Mims had 10 rebounds.

In basketball, the term field goal refers to a basket scored on any shot or tap other than a free throw, worth two or three points depending on the distance of the attempt from the basket.
