Truck strikes power pole, 1 injured

Jimmy Silmon of Maplesville was transported to Chilton Medical Center Monday afternoon after his Chevrolet pick-up truck struck a power pole on Alabama Highway 145 just north of the hospital. Silmon's injuries did not appear life threatening, Clanton Police Officer Shelby Ellison said. Silmon apparently was wearing a seat belt while traveling north on 145 when he lost control of the truck.
