What about Thorsby we have been under a freeze for 2 years now.
Look back at Verbena's records and see just who bought the play ground equiment. It would be like Thorsby the PTO or your parnets raise the money.
When it comes to money in Chilton County, you would think CCHS or Jemison where the only schools in the county.

Please note that the new school in Jemison is an intermediate school. Jemison Middle School and High School were attended by my children, parents and grandparents as well.

It is absolutely absurd to have so many schools in Chilton County. Some of these rat holes need to be closed and students sent to other schools. Some of these schools are less than 4 to 5 miles apart. BOE should combine these schools and give taxpayers some relief. No other county in Alabama the size of Chilton County has so many schools. Especially given the population and geographic makeup.

I agree lifestyle totally. Jemsion and Thorsby could be combined. Verbena could be combined with CCHS and Marbury. Isabella and Maplesville could be combined and that would solve these money issues or building new schools. There is no reason to have schools on 10 minutes apart from one another. Absurd.

I TOTALLY AGREE THAT SOME OF THESE SCHOOLS COULD BE COMBINED. I KNOW THAT IT WOULD BE VERY PAINFUL TO THE STUDENTS THAT ATTEND THE SCHOOLS THAT CLOSE BUT IN THE END EVERYONE WOULD WIN.
