The following is an activity detail summary of the Clanton Police Department from Thursday, Oct. 9 through Wednesday, Oct. 15:
Arrests
• Clanton Police arrested Deandre Shamar Jemison, 23, of Clanton for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and driving while suspended.
• Clanton Police also made the following arrests on misdemeanor charges only (numerals indicate the number of arrests made for each offense): speeding (1), no driver’s license (1), failure to appear (2), theft of property third degree (2), driving under the influence (1), public intoxication (4).
Incidents
• Unlawful possession of controlled substance – Oct. 12 at 1:04 a.m., at the corner of Smith Street and Second Avenue South. Seventy-nine pills believed to be ecstasy and assorted U.S. currency amounting to $9,807 were recovered.
• Harassment – Oct. 9 at 10 a.m., on Fourth Avenue South.
• Gas drive-off – Oct. 10 between 3:45 and 4:50 p.m. at Murphy Oil. Exactly 14.6 gallons of gasoline valued at $48.01 was stolen.
• Theft of property – Oct. 11 at 2:45 p.m., at Wal-Mart Supercenter. A container of mini gloss, a Halloween item, and a pair of jeans – at a combined valued of $18.60 – were stolen.
• Theft of property – Oct. 12 between 2 and 2:05 p.m. in the 600th block of Market Place. A package of Unisom sleeping tablets valued at $9.49 was stolen.
