Some local offices to close Tuesday

Due to Veterans Day, many local businesses will be closing.
All municipalities will be closing including Clanton, Maplesville, Thorsby and Jemison. Monday will be a normal working day for the town and city halls, and they will be open for regular business hours on Wednesday.
“The office here will be closed only on Tuesday,” Town Clerk Sheila Haigler said.
With the town and city halls being closed, garbage pick up will be affected.
Clanton garbage will be picked up on Tuesday starting at 6 a.m. Everyone is asked to leave their carts by the street until the garbage is picked up.
Jemison and Thorsby will not pick up garbage on Tuesday. They will run their routes on Wednesday instead.
The Chilton County Probate Office will also be closed on Tuesday. It will reopen for normal business on Wednesday.
