Special BOE meeting planned for Monday

The Chilton County Board of Education will hold a called meeting Monday, Aug. 4 at 8:30 a.m. in the Central Office boardroom.
The main purpose of the meeting is to hire employees for several positions that have been posted since the board’s last regular meeting.
The board is also expected to take action on an emergency roofing issue at Verbena School, and other timely matters requiring board approval before the next regular meeting.
BOE typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19 at 4 p.m.
