Engagement: Powell and Ellis
Barry and Sharon Powell of Clanton are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Nicole, to Joshua Allen Ellis of Baxley, Ga.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of William and Betty Caton and the late Tommy and Joyce Powell, all of Clanton. The bride is a 2005 graduate of Chilton Christian Academy and is currently pursuing a degree in music from Southeastern Bible College.
The groom elect is the son of the late Julie Ellis of Baxley, Ga. He is the grandson of M.B. and Carolyn Hazzard of Baxley. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Appling County High School and a 2008 graduate of Southeastern Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts in youth ministry and apologetics.
He is currently serving as youth minister at Chelsea Bible Church and is employed with VRC of Calera.
The families invite you to join them in asking God’s blessings on their marriage Saturday, July 18 at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church No. 2 of Clanton. All friends and relatives are invited.
Engagement: Agee and Williams
Barbara Agee, Annie Agee and George Ulmer of Clanton are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Latoya Sherie Agee, to Antonio Terrell Williams.
Antonio is the son of Ronald and Sonja McCarden of Montgomery.
The bride elect is a graduate of Chilton County High School in Clanton and a 2009 graduate of Alabama State University with a degree in elementary education. She is currently employed with the Montgomery Public School System as a first grade teacher.
The groom is a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and is a 2005 graduate of the University of Montevallo with a degree in history and secondary education. He is currently employed with the Montgomery Public School System as an academic administrator in Montgomery. He also has a Master’s of Education degree in educational leadership and is currently a member of cohort VIII of the doctoral program in educational leadership at Alabama State University.
The wedding will be held July 25, 2009 at Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery.

Mr. and Mrs. David Smith of Maplesville are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shea Smith, to Mr. Brett Watson of Navarre, Fla., son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Watson Jr. of Navarre.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Donald and Faye Gay of Maplesville and Johnny and Jewel Smith of Plantersville. She is a 2005 graduate of Maplesville High School and a 2009 graduate of Troy University with a degree in math education. Shea is employed by Park Place Christian Academy in Brandon, Miss.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Manon and Carolyn Watson Sr. of Columbus, Miss. and Will and Irene Norris Sr. of Madison, Miss. He is a 2005 graduate of Navarre High School and a 2009 graduate of Troy University with a degree in sport and fitness management. He is employed by the Club Fitness Center of Brandon.
The wedding ceremony will be Aug. 1, 2009, at 6 p.m. at Maplesville Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited.

Mr. and Mrs. Joey Coppock of Jemison would like to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Heather Nichole Junkins, to Anthony Jay Bartol of Enterprise.
A.J. is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bartol and the late Mrs. Susan Bartol.
The bride elect, a former Miss Chilton County and graduate of Jemison High School, is a senior at the University of Montevallo and employed at Longhorn Steak House in Alabaster.
The prospective groom, a graduate of Troy University, is employed with Republic National Distributing Company.
The glorious day will occur on the beach in August.
Anniversary: Barber
Neal and Joan Barber of Maplesville celebrated 50 years together Friday, June 12, 2009 with family and friends by going out to eat at Logan’s Roadhouse in Tuscaloosa.
