Freda Spearman, ACCESS facilitator, has been named the Thorsby High School Employee of the Month.

“I am honored to be selected as Employee of the Month,” Spearman said. “I am the Access Facilitator, and along with that I have traffic duty.

“I love being able to meet and greet parents and students every morning. I have a great group of kids in my classroom as well. I tell them all the time that they are like my own children. Their success and well being is very important to me.

“I have three children that graduated from Thorsby, and THS will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so blessed to be able to get up each morning and come to a job that I love to do and have the opportunity to work with a great group of administrators, facility and staff.
