Bessie “Bess” B. Dyer, 86, of Clanton died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1929, in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Charlie Bearden and the late Alpha Bilbrey Bearden.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Terry (Gary) Tate of Clanton, Trayce Dyer (Chris) Chancellor of Clanton; grandson, Michael (Carol) Tate of Hoover; granddaughters, Megan (Brian) Jones of Clanton, Courtney (DeWayne) Driver of Clanton; sister-in-law, Christine Bearden of Wilsonville, Virginia Dyer of Birmingham; three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Dyer.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, April 19 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
