James Thomas “Pookie” Fletcher, 68, of Pea Ridge, passed away March 18.

He was a hot-rod enthusiast and loved to spend time with his family.

He was a member of Wilton Bible Baptist Church.

Pookie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret “Peggy” Fletcher; daughters, Annette Coggins (Keith) of Alabaster and Anglia Blake (Wesley) of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Ashley Dennis (Jason) of Montevallo, Christpher Coggins, Jacob Coggins of Alabaster; Cody Blake (Heath) of Calera, Breanne Blake (Nick) and Danielle Blake (Tyler) of Montevallo; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Headly of Montevallo; sisters, Brenda Burdett (Doyle) of Pea Ridge and Judy Berryhill of Clanton; brother, Richard Fletcher (Betty) of Verbena and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lennie Fletcher and parents-in-law, Joseph and Lillie Lawley and Jack Bennett.

His visitation was held March 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo).

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on March 21 at Rockco with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery.

Pastor Jim Thompson officiated.
