Harry L. Williams Sr., 86, of Clanton, died March 2.

He was born on March 8, 1929, in Chilton County, the son of the late Thomas L. Williams and the late Lillie Jones Williams.

He was a lineman.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine Elmore Williams of Clanton; sons, Harry Williams Jr. (Annette), Leonard Williams (Mary), Andrew Williams, Jody Elmore and Robbie Elmore; daughters, Crystal Murphy (Bob), Joann Ehler, Theresa Phillips (Terry), Tami Daniels (Steve); 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and son-in-law Dr. Sid Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtis Williams; daughter, Barbara Nichols; parents, T.L. and Lillie Williams, four sisters and one brother.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. March 4 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held March 5 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Cleckler and Dr. Sid Nichols officiating.

Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery in Clanton.
