The STEM Academy received a Walmart Educational Grant for $1,000.

Walmart Educational Grants help create opportunities for students and give back to the community.

The STEM Academy offers courses in engineering, computer science, AP physics and AP chemistry to students from all schools in Chilton County.

Money from the grant will go to support research into areas of unmanned flight and to cover expenses from engineering and science competitions.
