Local schools and government offices will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday.

The city of Clanton’s trash pick-up will still run on Monday, but it will be earlier than usual.

Residents are encouraged to put out their trash on Sunday.

In Thorsby, trash pick-up will run Tuesday and Wednesday of Labor Day week, as opposed to the usual Monday and Tuesday of most weeks.

Jemison’s and Maplesville’s trash pick-up schedule will not be affected.
