Janice Marie Rhodes Fennell

Janice Marie Rhodes Fennell of Crossville passed away unexpectedly in her sleep Aug. 7.

Janice was born in Chicago, Ill. on Nov. 29, 1965, to Ovis and the late Sue Ann (Wagner) Rhodes.

Formerly from Chilton County, Janice was a 1985 graduate from Jemison High School.

Janice is preceded in death by her mother, Sue Ann Wagner Rhodes; brother, Bradley Scott Rhodes (Scotty); and sister-in-law, Gail Rhodes (Sharp).

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Fennell of Crossville; daughter, Amanda Hansard of Crossville; son, Jonathan Hansard of Crossville; grandson, Bryson Hansard and granddaughter, Claire Hansard; father, Ovis Rhodes of Jemison; brother, Ovis Rhodes Jr. of Jemison; sisters, Polly Taylor (Ricky) of Jemison, Peggy Thrash (Tony) of Jemison, Eva Brothers (Lewis) of Crossville; a very special lady, Charlotte Killingsworth (stepmom) and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service is planned for Aug. 29 in North Alabama.

A place Janice loved to go was Buck’s Pocket State Park. Individuals are invited to visit Buck’s Pocket State Park beginning at noon.
