Hazel Cox Leonard, 89, of Clanton, died Aug. 16 at Hatley Health Care.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1925, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Jim Cox and the late Grace Scroggins Cox.

She was a sales clerk.

Surviving are her sons, Randy C. Leonard (Dale), Richard D. Leonard (Cindy), Michael Leonard (Heather), Carl James “Jim” Leonard; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lester Leonard; daughter, Cheri DeRamus; son, George Lester Leonard Jr.

Friends will be received from 10-10:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at Martin Memorial Cemetery.

Graveside services will be held Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Brooks officiating.
