Charles Stephen “Steve” Stobert Jr., 66, of Clanton, passed away on Aug. 14 at his home.

He was born on Sept. 13, 1948, in Jefferson County, the son of the late Charles Stobert Sr. and the late Willodean Horton Stobert.

He was a pressman.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Thorn Stobert of Clanton; daughters, Florence Smitherman (Jeff) of Clanton and Tammy Edwards (Ray) of Clanton; sons, Michael Stobert (Kelly) of Clanton and Timothy Stobert (Kim) of Clanton; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, James Donald Stobert (Betty) of Pelham; sisters, Barbara Smith of Jemison and Wanda Grimes of Clanton.

Visitation will be held Aug. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. from the Mulberry Baptist Church in Maplesville with the Rev. Tony Weiger and the Rev. Andy Mims officiating.

Burial will follow in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery.
