Harrison hosts summer art camp at library

Harrison is currently the art teacher at Clanton Elementary School and is a national board certified teacher in early/middle childhood art education. Children from Chilton County participated in Julie Harrison’s Summer Art Camp at the Chilton-Clanton Public Library July 13-17. The week consisted of learning about a new artist each day and creating art. The kids learned about artists Alexander Calder, Faith Ringgold, Andy Warhol, Grant Wood and Leonardo DaVinci.
“I am so proud of the talented students that participated this year,” Harrison said. “This camp is an excellent opportunity for children who want to learn more about art history and techniques of art production.”
