Everett “Red” Clackler, 93, passed away July 21.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. July 24 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. July 24 with the funeral service to follow.

Mr. Clackler was born in Clanton. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Tyrian Masonic Lodge No. 111.

He loved to play music and swing a golf club.

Mr. Clackler loved life and insisted on living every day to his fullest capacity.

He often said, “I really enjoy people.”

In addition, Mr. Clackler was a renowned professional fiddle player and instructor, a member of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and the former owner and operator of Kissing Cousins in Warner Robins, Ga. Mr. Clackler had several TV and radio shows with his band, “Melody Makers” for many years in Mobile.

Mr. Clackler was a beautiful soul and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Clackler of Warner Robins, Ga.; sisters, Joyce Goddard of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Ronald Clackler of Silver Hill; daughter, Madeline Rose Jerrigan of Helena; several stepchildren which include Cheryl Leverette (Robert) of Warner Robins, Ga., Lisa Mixon (Clint) of the United States Air Force, Steve Roy of Warner Robins, Ga. and Buddy Roy of Warner Robins, Ga.; many grandchildren, Nicholas, Parker, Lynn Cook, Stacia, Robin, Brittany, Danna Cozzi, Joy Fulman, Paul Farmer and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Everett “Red” Clackler Memorial Fund at 701 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA, 31093 in memory of Mr. Clackler.
