Millicent Deramus Heflin

Millicent Deramus Heflin, 86, of Clanton, passed away June 27 at her residence.

She was born on April 21, 1929, in Alabama, the daughter of the late David Irby Deramus and the late Mamie Northcutt Deramus.

She was a teacher.

Surviving are her sons, James Duke (Emily) Heflin of Tuscaloosa and Irby Deramus (Sandra) Heflin of Clanton; grandsons, James Patrick Heflin of Montgomery, David Irby Heflin of Clanton and Tim Kirchner of Chelsea; granddaughter, Kelly Sharpe of Montgomery; great-granddaughters, Maddie Heflin of Clanton andSavannah Kirchner of Chelsea; great-grandsons, Jackson Sharpe of Montgomery and Sawyer Sharpe of Montgomery; and sister, Mary Ann Yeargan of Birmingham.

Friends were received from 5-7 p.m., June 29, at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held June 30 at 11 a.m. at Clanton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob West officiating.

Interment will be in Verbena Cemetery in Verbena.
