Steve Randall Sammons

Steve Randall Sammons, 59, of Jemison, passed away unexpectedly on May 24 at his residence.

He was born in Chilton County on March 22, 1956, the son of the late L.D. Sammons and the late Inez Smith Sammons.

He was a former superintendent with Sunbelt Builders.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sammons; daughter, Christie (Brad) King; son, Shane Sammons; daughter, Cindie (Tim) Martin; daughter, Barbie (Robbie) DeMotte; grandchildren: Brittani Morris, Lexi Martin, Nicole Nolen, Heather Henderson, Josh DeMotte, Christian Sammons, Austin Sprayberry, Jade Sprayberry, Michael Sprayberry, Mark Sprayberry, Joseph Sammons, and Vincent Mason Sammons; great-grandchildren: McKenzie Nolen, Keaton Nolen, and Kade Upton; sister, Judy Franklin; brother, Charles (Bobbie) Sammons; brother, Dwight (BeeBee) Sammons; and sister, Sherry (Paul) Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dutch and Inez Sammons; brother, Jimmy Dale Sammons; and brother, Bruce Allen Sammons.

Visitation was held on May 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on May 27 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Josh Sammons and the Rev. Herbert Gray officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Jemison.
