Jadie Thomas Easterling

Jadie Thomas Easterling, age 83 of Clanton, passed away on May 12, 2015, at his residence.

He was born in Chilton County on December 29, 1931, the son of the late Gerthie Howell Easterling and the late Mattie Leales Davis Easterling.

He retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant. He served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict. He was also a certified electrician.

He is survived by: wife, Willodean D. Easterling of Clanton; step-daughter, Michelle L. Evans (Mike) of Birmingham; step-daughter, Mellony L. McNeal (Sid) of Trussville; along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and the Rev. Ken Daniels officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Walnut Creek United Methodist Cemetery in Clanton.
