Tyler Carter of Stanton aced the day and the 2015 Southeast Cross Country Association championship season in dominating fashion.

Carter took the overall win in the harescramble race held March 7 in Plantersville at Windwood Farms-adjacent to Noah’s MX Park.

More than 200 competitors showed up for the even, ranging in age from 26 months to 65 years old.

The season came down to this race for the championship between Carter and reigning champion Cliff Ousley.

Whoever won this particular race would get the 2015 crown.

Carter dominated the first moto, and Ousley was leading by a large margin in the second moto when he went down.

When Carter came up on Ousley in the woods, he stopped to check on him, and Ousley told him to keep going for the championship instead.

Carter and Ousley are more than just SECCA family, they are cousins.
