Little Tom Minor

Little Tom “Jip” Minor, 74,  of Clanton, died March 2 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

He was born on Sept. 30, 1940, in Clanton, the son of the late Dewey Minor and the late Birdie Easterling Minor.

He was a printer.

Surviving are daughter, Kim (Tim) Ray;  sons, Tommy Minor, Jeffrey (Wanda) Minor and Michael McGuire; grandsons, Jerome Minor, Kevin Minor, Chad Ray, Jeff Bazzell, Jason Bazzell and Derek Oates; granddaughters, Kacy (Todd) Price, Brittney (Buddy) Sanders and Kaitlin Ray; great-granddaughters, Kinzely Price and Allison Bazzell; sisters, Thelma Littleton and Judy Easterling; brother, Lamar Minor; a number of nieces and nephews and special friend, Cindy Voss.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Birdie Minor; wife, Patricia Minor; brothers, Bronson, Bernie Clyde, Winston and Junior Minor; and sisters, Elaine Minor, Jo Ann Horton and Carol Jones.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on March 4 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held March 5 at 11 a.m. at Refuge Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Cleckler and the Rev. David Reed officiating.

Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Cemetery, Clanton.
